The Pivdennyi machine-building plant (Yuzhmash), an aerospace manufacturer, has reached agreement with the Firefly Aerospace company (United States) on production of rocket parts worth about USD 15 million.

Viktor Taran, the head of the Eidos analytical center, announced this on Facebook, the CFTS portal reports.

"…U.S.-based Firefly Aerospace company, which collaborates with NASA and the U.S. Air Force, placed an order with Yuzhmash for mass production of rocket parts, including 100 combustion chambers, 500 pieces of automation units, and 40 turbo-pumps, just a week ago. According to preliminary data, Yuzhmash experts estimate the deal at USD 15 million. Such cooperation was made possible by the law on private space that was adopted a month ago,” he wrote.

As the CFTS portal reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed a law regulating space operation, which abolishes state licensing of space operations and introduces licensing of field-testing, launching, navigation, and return of spacecraft, on October 30.
