Ten companies have submitted applications for construction of an airfield in Dnipro.
This was announced by the Ukrainian State Agency for Infrastructure Projects’ head Kyrylo Khomiakov, the CFTS portal reports.
According to him, the phase of submission of price proposals has ended and the phase of prequalification of participants began on 28 November. The next step will be an auction among selected participants, which is scheduled to take place within the first ten days of December.
The companies are Özaltin İnsaat Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, Altcom Road Construction LLC, SK Olvia LLC, SMT No. 8 OJSC, Rostdorstroy LLC, Altis Construction LLC, Metag Insaat Ticaret A.S., Black Sea Consortium, Onur Construction International LLC, and Avtomagistral Yug LLC.
"The expected cost of the main work on construction of a new airfield in Dnipro is UAH 5.69 billion. The draft budget for 2021 that the Cabinet of Ministers submitted for a second reading in the parliament allocates UAH 1.4 billion for construction of the airfield," Khomiakov said.
As reported, the parliament’s budget committee backed a proposal to allocate UAH 1.5 billion for financing the design and construction of the airfield at the Dnipropetrovsk international airport in early November.
The project includes construction of about 650,000 square meters of airfield pavements made of monolithic concrete, emergency rescue stations, transformer substations, rainwater treatment facilities, and facilities for water disposal, water supply, power supply, and communications, as well as airfield perimeter fencing. Installation of lighting equipment, radio and meteorological flight support systems, and building and perimeter security systems at the airport is also planned.
As reported earlier, the Dnipro airport is on the list of priority investment projects in Ukraine until 2023.
