The Boryspil international airport intends to analyze the possibility of reopening its Terminal F, the airport’s acting General Director Yevhen Dykhne has said, the CFTS correspondent reports.
"We will not be able to handle the throughput during morning and evening peak periods. Therefore, we will consider opening the Terminal F in 2017," said Dykhne.
The Terminal F was closed in October 2013 after only three years in operation (it was opened in September 2010). The reason for its closure was the relatively small volume of passenger traffic at the airport, for the handling of which the Terminal D alone was sufficient.
The Boryspil airport later stated that the Terminal F would probably specialize in handling low-cost airlines. Conversations have intensified recently in anticipation of the entry of the Ryanair low-cost airline into the Ukrainian market this year.
