The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure is considering the possibility of including the Mykolaiv commercial seaport in the safe "grain corridor" initiative.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

"We will soon begin consultations. We want to ship Ukrainian grain from the port of Mykolaiv. This is very important. This port is not included in the first phase because hostilities are currently taking place there. But we do not forget anything and we will work on it," Minister Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said during an online telethon.

As reported, a ship loaded with Ukrainian food left the Odesa port at 09:15 on 1 August, the first time since February 24. The Sierra Leone-flagged Razoni ship is heading for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon.

Manwhile, the city of Mykolaiv has been under constant Russian shelling for last few months.
