SkyUp, a new Ukrainian airline, finally began operating charter flights on May 21. A Boeing 737-800 airliner with the registration number UR-SQA flew from the Kyiv Zhulyany airport to Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) at 07:27, the CFTS reports.
This was evidenced by data on the Kyiv Zhulyany airport’s online electronic flight display system and the flightradar24 service.
According to the online electronic flight display system, the airline was scheduled to perform another flight to the Egyptian resort on Monday (the flight KUP5055 was scheduled to depart at 16:00).
As reported, SkyUp earlier announced that it would perform its first flight on Saturday, May 19. The airline received its air operator's certificate on May 16.
SkyUp announced in December 2017 and later that it would begin operating charter flights in April 2018. The airline planned to begin operating domestic flights in May or June.
