The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has announced that it has sued the Kryukov Railcar Building Works for breach of contract.
The lawsuit is related to a contract for supply of passenger cars. Under this contract, the Kryukov Railcar Building Works was to manufacture and launch operation of 21 railcars in 2016, but it supplied only nine railcars to Ukrzaliznytsia and postponed the delivery of the remaining railcars to 2017.
"PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia has sued [the Kryukov Railcar Building Works] for damages for failing to fulfill its contractual obligations," Ukrzaliznytsia said.
Ukrzaliznytsia did not disclose the amount of damages.
