A World Bank loan of USD 36 million that was intended for the construction of a tram line from Starovokzalna Street to the Palats Sportu subway station with a stop at Vokzalna Square in Kyiv has been canceled.
The CFTS portal reported this, citing information posted on the “Passengers of Kyiv” Facebook page.
The loan was to be provided within the framework of an agreement between Ukraine and the World Bank on the development of urban public transport.
The Kyiv City Administration announced in October 2021 that it was completing the preparation of the feasibility study for the project.
