The Kryukov Railcar Building Works (Kremenchuk, Poltava region) reduced production of freight cars by 69% in the period of January-July 2020, compared with the corresponding period of 2019.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works’ business department announced this to the Kremenchuk newspaper, the CFTS portal reports.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works produced 1,024 freight cars in the period of January-July 2020, compared with 2,205 in the corresponding period of 2019. 

It also produced 26 passenger cars in the period of January-July 2020, compared with 6 in the corresponding period of 2019.

It has not assembled locomotives this year. It assembled 15 in the period of January-July 2019.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works will operate for only 11 working days in August.

As reported earlier, the Kryukov Railcar Building Works recently dropped out of the list of companies bidding to supply diesel trains to Latvia. It is also attempting to challenge the results of a tender for supply of subway trains to Kharkiv, in which it lost to CRRC Tangshan.
