The Elektrontrans company (Lviv) has delivered a second Electron T5V641 tram to Kyiv under a new contract with the Kyivpastrans municipal transport company, which provides for delivery of a total of seven new trams. The press service of the Ukrainian-German joint enterprise confirmed this information to the CFTS portal.
According to documents in the ProZorro electronic public procurement system, all the seven trams stipulated in this contract should be delivered to Kyivpastrans by December 29 this year.
As the CFTS reported earlier, Kyivpastrans received the first tram under this contract late last week.
Elektrontrans won the relevant tender in June. The winner of the tender was required to deliver seven trams worth a total of UAH 300.99 million.
In addition, Kyivpastrans concluded a contract with Elektrontrans for purchase of seven 30-meter, low-floor trams for UAH 183.75 million in October 2015 after Elektrontrans won the relevant tender. Kyiv received only three trams under this contract. These trams are currently in operation on the high-speed tramline.
