The Kyiv municipal administration has announced that overland public transport in the capital city will stop during air-raid alerts, the CFTS portal reports.

"Overland public transport, including private carriers, will stop in safe places in accordance with road traffic rules during air raid alerts," the statement said.

According to the municipal administration, passengers should disembark and head for the nearest air-raid shelter.

As before, the Kyiv subway will not transport passengers in its aboveground sections and close its aboveground subway stations during air-raid alerts.

The relevant decision by the Kyiv city defense council entered into effect on 1 August.

"The city authorities call on citizens not to ignore air-raid alerts and observe curfews," the Kyiv municipal administration said.
