The Kyiv international airport (Zhulyany) handled 293,900 passengers in the period of January-March, which is 81.3% more than it handled in the same period of 2016.
According to the airport, it handled 277,600 passengers on international flights and 16,300 on domestic flights.
The airport also handled 4,461 flights (including 3,532 international flights and 929 domestic flights) in the first quarter of 2017, which is 44.4% more than it handled in the same period of 2016.
The most popular international destinations were Dubai (UAE), Minsk (Belarus), Sharm-el-Sheikh (Egypt), Budapest (Hungary), Ankara (Turkey), Dortmund (Germany); the most popular domestic destinations were Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Lviv.
In March, the Airport handled 99,400 passengers, which is 66.1% more than it handled in March 2016.
The Kyiv international airport is located 7 kilometers from the city center. It is the second largest airport in Ukraine in terms of number of flights and passenger traffic. The airport has three terminals with a total area of 21,000 square meters. It is capable of receiving aircraft of the types Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and others.
