The Kyiv international airport (Zhuliany) handled 1.127 million passengers in 2016, which is 19.4% more than it handled in 2015.
According to the airport, it handled 1.065 million international passengers and 63,000 domestic passengers.
The airport handled 18,268 flights (14,378 international and 3,890 domestic flights) during the year, which is 2.3% more than it handled in 2015.
The most popular international destinations from the Zhuliany airport in 2016 were Minsk, Dubai, Budapest, Antalya, and Dortmund while the most popular domestic destinations were Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Lviv. The most popular tourist destinations were Dubai, Budapest, Antalya, Larnaca, and Tivat.
The Kyiv international airport is located 7 kilometers from the city center. It is the second largest airport in Ukraine in terms of number of flights and passenger traffic. The airport has three terminals with a total area of 21,000 square meters. It is capable of receiving aircraft of the types Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and others.
