The Softex Aero company, which is based in the Kyiv region and is one of the largest private enterprises in the Ukrainian aerospace industry, developed the concept for the VV-2 high-speed helicopter in May 2016. The UNIAN news agency reported this, citing defence-blog.com.

The two-seater helicopter is capable of generating a power of 190 hp/140 kW in cruise mode and 245 hp/180 kW during takeoff and landing. It has a maximum flight speed of 240 km/h. The VV-2 helicopter is equipped with modern avionics and control systems.

The helicopter can climb to a height of 4,000 meters and has a flight range of 500 kilometers.

An entire family of specialized aircraft, including unmanned drones for performing various tasks, can be built based on the VV-2 helicopter.

The Softex Aero company's portfolio also includes the V24 and V24L airplanes and the V52 helicopter.
